Govt Accords Sanction for 'Special Security Allowance' to SSF, SSG Personnel

Jammu, Jan 25 (GNS): Lieutenant Governer-led dispensation has on Monday accorded sanction to grant of “Special Security Allowance” in favour of members of Special Security Force (SSF) and Special Security Group.

According to an order, the Operational Staff will receive 25% of the Basic Pay (7th Pay Commission Scales) and Non-Operational Staff at 12.5% of Basic Pay (7th Pay Commission Scales).

“The Special Security Allowance shall substitute the Special Duty Allowance presently paid to Special Security Group (SSG).”

The Special Security Allowance so revised/granted shall be in addition to the Hardship Allowance already being paid to the Police Personnel at the prescribed rates, the Order states.

“This issue with the concurrence of Finance Department conveyed vide U.O. No. A/92(2010)-pf-1-338 dated 14-12-2020”, the Order underscores
