Go for startups, generate job opportunities for others: Masrat to youth

Ppresides over Youth Conference, Encourages youth to prepare for competitive Exams

RAMBAN: District Administration Ramban today organized a one-day Youth Conference under the initiative ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’ to promote the e-Governance system, besides increasing the penetration of youth entrepreneurs on the e-Suvidha App in the district.

Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam presided over the Youth Conference attended by the trainees of Polytechnic Ramban, ITI Ramban, Gool and Banihal and Government Degree Colleges of the district and youth working in different fields.

Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal; Principal Polytechnic, Suket Gupta;  AD Employment, Sushant Mahajn; Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Priyanka Sharma;  Councillors of MC Ramban, Gopal Krishan Raina, Khalid Wani, Superintendent of ITIs, representatives of Beopar Mandal Ramban have participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner informed the participants about initiatives taken by the District Administration and the government schemes including MUMKIN, Tejswani, PMEGP and others to enable youth to start their own units.

The DC advised the college students to focus on cracking civil service exams, besides other state and national level competitive exams to serve the society. He also advised the youth to go for startups to earn a decent livelihood and generate  job opportunities for others.

The DC highlighted the area wise potential trades like tourism, production and sale of agro-based products and innovations to scale up the traditional trades which would provide benefits to a maximum number of people.

During the interaction session, students of different blocks of the district raised various queries pertaining to e-Governance, career options, issues hindering their progress in education, hand-holding and coaching for aspirants of civil services and other local issues.

The officers of line departments cleared the doubts of students besides sensitizing them about schemes and programmes of their respective departments under Mission Youth Jammu and Kashmir.
