Global Bio-India 2021: India one of the most innovative countries in world, says Dr Ralf Heckner

Switzerland’s Ambassador to India Dr. Ralf Heckner has said that India is one of the most innovative countries in the world and 2021 budget proves that with a large outlay for the R&D Sector. The Ambassador expressed this during the Global Bio-India 2021 conclave. Global Bio-India 2021, the largest bio-technology conglomerate, is a three-day event focussing on different aspects of biotechnology which began yesterday. 

Minister of Science & Technology, Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the event. Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, was the special guest at the inaugural session. BIRAC’s Technical Compendium 2021 was also released in the event. Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Dr. Renu Swarup, said that Global Bio India 2021 is an opportunity to bring together the community and see how we can deliver not just locally but globally. The Secretary said that we have to start looking inwards to see where we lack and to improve.
