Union Home Ministry has sent 4 member team led by an Additional Secretary level officer to West Bengal today. The team will assess the situation in the state and will submit a detailed report on increased incidents of violence especially after the polls.
Earlier, Home Ministry had written a letter to the Chief Secretary of West Bengal regarding reports of increase in violence in the State after the counting process of State Assembly elections concluded on 2nd of this month. The team is likely to submit its report in the next 48 hours.
