Forces lay CASO to Shangus in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

Srinagar: Security forces on Wednesday launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Shangus village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Reports said that the CASO was launched at Sheikhpora village of Shangus today afternoon.

An official said that the army, police and paramilitary forces cordoned off the village after inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

The search operation was going on when this report was being filed.
