Five more areas in Srinagar notified as Micro Containment Zones

SRINAGAR, Apr 10: Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who is also Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar on Saturday evening declared five more areas as Micro containment Zones in the district.

According to the news agency–Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the five Micro Containment Zones include Umarabad 90feet road umer Hair Bachpora near masjid usman, Nowhsehra main stop near Hubbi masjid, Bhagat near Jamia Masjid, Batmaloo PCR near Jamia Masjid and National institute of Technology Hazratbal.

The areas were notified as Micro Containment Zones after detection of many COVID-19 positive cases in these areas today.

“People living within radius of 50 to 75 mtrs from reported areas shall restrict their movement as medical teams complete surveillance and testing as per protocol,” DC said in a fresh notification issued in this regard—(KNO)
