Says area exclusively pedestrian
SRINAGAR: Chief Executive Officer Srinagar Smart City Limited Athar Amir has announced that the first completely pedestrian, wire-free market Polo View in the city is all set to welcome people.
The redevelopment of the polo view market under the smart city project as the first fully pedestrian market in Srinagar was taken last year in the month of August.
This was informed by Athar Amir via his Twitter handle, “Polo View High Street-First completely pedestrian & wire free market in #Srinagar, getting ready to welcome you. Universal access, separate underground sewerage & drainage networks, underground electricity &comm. lines, facade improvement of buildings, public convenience all part of it”.

In another tweet, Amir said that some pictures from before! The pedestrianisation and redevelopment of the Polo View Market project had been taken up by #SrinagarSmartcity Lt. A new road has been constructed behind the market to cater for the traffic. This area is exclusively pedestrian!
