Fire breaks out in PDD office in Anantnag

SRINAGAR: Fire broke out in the billing section of the Superintendent Engineer Office of Power Development Department in the Hamzapora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Tuesday.

An official said that a fire broke out in the billing section of the building today morning. He said soon after the fire broke out, fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse off the flames.

“Fire was brought under control and the building has suffered some damage, besides important files are being shifted to another building,” he said. The official added cause of the fire was being ascertained.
