Jammu: FICCI FLO JKL celebrates the occasion of Bhai Dhooj with their brothers in uniform at the Octroi post, Suchetgarh on the India Pakistan Border, in Jammu.
Amongst a powerful prayer performed at the Raghunath ji temple Kr. Ritu Singh was accompanied by her Sr. Vice Chairperson Ms. Varuna Anand, Executive Secretary Ms. Ritika Trehan, members Meenakshi Kilam, Neha Mahajan, Winnie Singh, Aditi Chopra, Richa Isshar, Ankita Bansal & Gesu Gandotra. The rituals were performed beautifully by applying traditional Tikka and offering of sweets, with a special prayer for the longevity & safety of the jawans & officers. A small hamper of goodies was presented to each officer as a token of love by all the members of FICCI FLO JKL.
The atmosphere was euphoric amidst chanting, singing and songs specially dedicated for the occasion. This was followed by an enthralling retreat ceremony which left many with teary eyes full of sentiment and patriotism.
Under the directive of Kr. Ritu Singh, FICCI FLO JKL has offered their voluntary expertise to the wives and the lady jawans as an initiative to strengthen the link between the civilians and the forces as an expression of solidarity to her valiant brothers. The air resounded with a touching slogan recited by the FICCI FLO members “ Har Behan ki tum ho Shaan, Mere Bharat ke Veer Jawan.”
