Farooq Abdullah re-elected as National Conference president

Earlier, on November 17, Dr Abdullah had stepped down as National Conference president, a post he held since 2009, saying that he will not contest again.

Srinagar: Dr Farooq Abdullah has been re-elected as National Conference president at party’s delegate session held at Naseem Bagh in Srinagar this morning.

The party convention also coincided with the birth anniversary of National Conference founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.

Dr Abdullah has been elected un-opposed.
