External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar says, Centre is committed to connectivity in entire North East including Assam

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishanker has said that good infrastructure is required to attract investment in Assam and the Centre is committed to the connectivity in the entire North East including Assam.

Talking to news persons in Guwahati today, he said that India and Japan are collaborating to enhance skill development, business and investment in a robust manner. 

The Minister said that the visit of the Japanese Ambassador Satoshi Suzuki to Assam reflects how the Indo-Japan partnership can make a difference in India and more specifically towards the development of Assam.

Speaking on this occasion, the Japanese Ambassador said that both the countries are collaborating for the development of the Northeast zone with special focus on Assam. He further said that development of the North-Eastern Region is indispensable for India to become a five trillion economy.
