Ex SSP dies due to COVID in Srinagar, DGP condole demise

Srinagar: A retired Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on Monday died due to COVID-19.

He was 69.

Meanwhile, a police spokesman said this evening that Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh and police pariwar have condoled the sad demise of Mohammad Yaseen Bhat, a retired SSP who died today due to COVID-19.

Born on January 15, 1952 in Srinagar District, Bhat served Jammu and Kashmir Police in many capacities on many key posts in Telecom wing during  and retired as Incharge DPT, Jammu and Kashmir in 2010.  He breathed his last today due to COVID-19.

The DGP, officers and officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police have conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul, spokesman said.
