Ensure 100% sampling of chemical fertilizers imported in Kashmir: LEK


SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 30: Deputy Director, Law Enforcement Kashmir Manzoor Ahmad Nazki chaired a meeting to review progress with regard to Stocking of Fertilizers in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Deputy Director emphasized upon the officers for close coordination at district and divisional level to bring transparency and accountability in the system.

Nazki stressed for making necessary procedures against the violators dealing with fertilizers, as per the relevant acts and rules.  He directed   the enforcement staff of the department to compile the statement regarding the receipt and despatch of fertilizers from company godowns on monthly basis for checking the exact quantity. He further added that sale of spurious agriculture inputs must be strictly stopped and violators dealt strictly as per law.

Deputy Director urged upon the officers to ensure 100% sampling of the chemical fertilizers imported in the valley before being distributed in the market to ensure the quality fertilizers are available to the farming community well in time.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director Law Enforcement, District Law Enforcement Officers and Law Enforcement inspectors of all districts of Kashmir Division.
