| Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat program was announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. The aim of this ek bharat shresth bharat campaign is to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of State/union territories pairing. The state carries out activities to promote a substantial and structured cultural connection in the areas of language learning, culture traditions, music ,tourism, cuisine, sports and best practices. Maharashtra and Odisha together made efforts to tie both states with multiple interactions in the area of tourism, literature translation, sports etc. |
