In Delhi, main Eid congregations are being held at Jama Masjid, Fatehpuri Masjid and Eidgah. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the occasion.

After the prayers, people visit neighbours, family members, friends and to get together to share sweets, snacks and special meals including some special dishes that are prepared specifically on the occasion. The festival was celebrated in Kerala yesterday.

In Madhya Pradesh, Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrating with traditional fervour and zeal today across state.

Special Namaz was solemnized in State capital Bhopal at Eidgah.

Thousands of Muslims offered prayers at various Idgahs and mosques in the city in the state as celebrations began to mark the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan.

Attired in new clothes, men and children visited Idgahs and mosques for prayers and greeted each other, including people from other communities.

Prayers will be offered at different times at every Mosque and Eidgah. Renowned and historical mosques have been decorated nicely and elaborate security arrangements have been made across the state.

Governor Ram Naik, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Speaker of the State Assembly Hriday Narayan Dixit and state government ministers have extended their greetings to the people on the occasion.

In Lucknow, it is being offered right now at Masjid Darul Uloom Nadawa and Masjid Noor Manjil and Chhota Imambara Husainabad.

Members from other communities are also thronged to great Muslim brothers on the festival.

In Jammu & Kashmir, Eid ul Fitr is being celebrated today with traditional religious gaiety and fervor.

Lakhs of Muslims will be attending congregational Eid prayers in Eidgah grounds and mosques across the State.

On the occasion of Eid, the markets and localities wear festive look with colourful buntings, flags and other decoration material.

Governor N N Vohra, and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have extended their greetings to the people and prayed for peace, prosperity and happiness.
