SRINAGAR: The Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar Tuesday declared that Eid-ul-Adha prayers will be held at the ancient Eidgah in Srinagar at 9 a.m., in accordance with Islamic Shariah and teachings.

In a statement, it said that in case of rain or bad weather, Eid prayers will be offered at the Historic Jama Masjid Srinagar and the timing will remain the same.

The Anjuman has urged the people to participate in the congregation prayers to express unity among the Ummah and maintain discipline. The people have been urged to bring prayer mats along with them.

In view of Eid-ul-Adha and the holy days of Qurbani, Anjuman Auqaf once again urged the authorities to release Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq.
