RAJOURI: To create awareness among general masses on the eve of national girl child week, an event was held at Koteranka with DDC Councillor Shazia Kausar as Chief Guest.

The event on the theme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao theme was organised by the One Stop Center (OSC) Rajouri administrator Nitu Sharma under the direction of District Development Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan and Nodal Officer Bilal Mir.

While speaking on the occasion, DDC Councillor Shazia Kausar said that coordinated efforts are required for the empowerment of girl child by way of education and healthcare.

Shazia said that 21st century poses tough challenges and therefore efforts are required to be made with make girls future-ready by obtaining necessary skills for competitions.

OSC Rajouri celebrated National girl child Day and also created awareness among masses regarding girl child rights , schemes and protection available to the female child.

Speaking On the ocassion Nitu sharma Administrator OSC elaborated the role of girl child in society and need to treat girl child equally in order to build the nation. The role of OSC in ensuring and protected the right of women were also briefed on this ocassion.

Sarpanches ,Principal HSS ,CDPO ,ICDS and OSC staff were present on the ocassion.
