Drug peddler arrested, 10 kg poppy straw recovered in Badgam


A drug peddler was arrested and 10 kgs of poppy straw recovered in the central Kashmir district of Badgam on Monday, a police spokesman said this afternoon.

He said during a naka in a area under police station Beerwah in Badgam, a police team intercepted a person and during the searches recovered 10 kg of poppy straw.

The drug peddler has been arrested and further investigation take up, he said adding a case has been registered.
