Rajouri: Government Degree College Darhal Rajouri Sunday awarded “Outstanding Faculty Award” to Dr Rubia Bukhari Lecturer Poonch Campus University of Jammu for her distinguished Research in Sericulture.
Dr Bukhari was awarded today during the Two Days Multidisciplinary National Conference on Recent Trends in Science Humanity and Literature organized by Government Degree College Darhal Rajouri. She was also awarded for best paper presentation.
Besides working as Lecturer in the Department of Sericulture, Dr Bukhari is also working as Poonch Campus and looking after the developmental and promotional aspects of the Poonch Campus.
During the proceedings of the 2nd day of the Conference, Dr Bukhari presented a detailed paper on the “Novel breeding techniques to enhance mulberry (Morus alba L.)
Miss Kalpna Sudan Teaching Assistant Department of Sericulture and I/C NSS also presented paper on the Sericulture. She outlined that Sericulture offers a chance to improve rural livelihood. She was awarded for best paper presentation.
The organizers of the conference while lauding the efforts of Dr Rubia Bukhari in the field of Sericulture said that She has done distinguished research in the field of Sericulture and is trying hard to introduce latest techniques in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
Dr Bukhari while expressing her gratitude towards the organizers for recognizing her contribution in the field of Sericulture, She said that she will continue to work for the promotion of Sericulture in twin border districts as this will be definitely helpful to improve the financial conditions of the common man.
She also thanked Director Poonch Campus Prof. Dipanker Sengupta for providing them the opportunity to be the part of these National level Conferences.
