Covid19: Dr Naveed urges people not to panic but take precautions

SRINAGAR: Top pulmonologist of Valley, Dr Naveed Nazir Shah, on Thursday urged people not to panic but take precautions as Covid-19 reared its ugly head in some parts of the globe.

“No scare just caution. Better to be safe than sorry. No harm in taking precautions. V (we) are already facing an influx of pneumonia cases. All May not be covid. By following appropriate behaviour can prevent them too… Last 3 years all respiratory infections were at low ebb due to CAB,” Dr Naveed Nazir Shah said in a tweet.

Notably, Health Ministry has asked all states to focus on heightened surveillance within the community, undertake requisite control and containment measures, and ensure coverage of precautionary doses for COVID-19 vaccination amid a spurt of coronavirus cases in some parts of the world.
