Kick-starts Chinar plantation drive at Kulgam

KULGAM, MARCH 15: The Department of Floriculture, Gardens and parks today started the Chinar Plantation drive in Kulgam.

The drive was kick started by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat from Mini-Secretariat by planting Chinar saplings in the lawns of Mini-Secretariat.

Officers from the department of Floriculture, Gardens and Parks informed that this year the department will plant Chinar saplings in various parks and community land in the district.

Later, the DC also planted Chinar saplings at Gurwatan Aharbal.

SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal; ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; SDM Noorabad, Bashir Ul Hassan; DFO Syed Waseem and other officers also participated in this Chinar plantation drive.
