Dr Basharat felicitates Revenue officials for achievement in Digitisation of Land Records

ANANTNAG: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today felicitated revenue officials for appreciable work done towards digitisation of revenue records under Digital India Land Records Management Programme.

On the occasion, the DC felicitated revenue officials from SDMs to Patwaris who played an exemplary role in digitisation of land records in the district.

Tablet computers were also distributed among the field officials to facilitate streamlining online services being provided by the Revenue Department.

Dr Basharat said that with digitisation of land records, the revenue department has entered a new phase which will be marked by transparency, efficiency and prompt service delivery. He said e-services being provided by the Revenue department will make it convenient for people to access their land records.

He said that widespread acceptance and take up of programs like Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani is a manifestation of the need of these programs.

Among those felicitated were Dr Abdul Hafeez Shah, Regional Director, SLRM; Nazia, Dy DEO; Ghulam Rasool Wani, SDM Dooru; Syed Naseer Ahmad, SDM Pahalgam; Er. Sarib Sehran, SDM Kokernag; Tanveer Ahmad, SDM Bijbehara; Tehsildars Anantnag, Mattan/Srigufwara, Shangus, Bijbehara, Dooru, Qazigund, Shahabad, Sallar/Pahalgam, Kokernag and Larnoo. In addition to these, appreciation certificates were also distributed among 45 NTs and Patwaris.
