Don’t believe in political rumours says Salman on Azad-Congress reconciliation report

SRINAGAR: Chief Spokesperson, Member Working Committee Democratic Azad Party Salman Nizami asked people not to believe in conspiracy and political rumours floated by their foes.

Salman was referring to reports of DAP founder and former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad likely being returned to the Congress party.

The success & rise of DAP has enervated some people who are planting fake stories in the media. Our party is doing tremendous work in J&K. The public response of our rallies has surprised even us. Don’t believe in these conspiracy & political rumours floated by our foes!

There were reports that talks have been initiated between Azad and  Congress.

Azad quit his 52-year-long association with the Congress party on August 26 and announced his new political outfit ‘Democratic Azad Party’ in October. According to the sources, during the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, Azad claimed that only Congress can compete with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Meanwhile, Azad had said that he is not against the policy of Congress but had issues with its weak system.
