KUPWARA: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today inspected the progress of ongoing construction of Transit Migrant Accommodations at Nutnussa and Kulangam.
It was informed that the transit accommodations at Nutnussa consisting of 12 buildings and 192 flats are coming up at a cost of Rs.1713 lakh.
The DDC also inspected construction of Transit Accommodations at Kulangam Handwara. The accommodations consist of 18 buildings and 288 flats and are coming up at a cost of Rs.3456 lakh.
On the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the concerned executing agencies to gear up the pace of work and ensure faster completion of the accommodations well before the timeline.
The DDC said that LG administration is very particular for completion of the transit accommodation projects adding that the quality of construction works are being closely monitored.
Later, the DDC inspected the makeshift accommodation of Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara and directed the concerned authorities for speedy completion of the buildings.
