Doda accident: Rescue operation resumes after night-long halt

DODA: The rescue operation for the four people, who drowned after their car plunged into the river Chenab in the Premnagar area of the Doda district, resumed on Wednesday morning.

An official that four people were feared dead after a car they were travelling in plunged into river Chenab near Premnagar last evening.

“The Indian Army, J&K Police and the SDRF have started the rescue operation again today morning after it was halted for the night due to darkness,” he said. Those who were travelling in the car have been identified as Rohan Mangotra, Aditya Kotwal, Surjeet Singh and Vishal Chandel—all residents of Doda.
