DLSA distributes plants in schools of Shopian

Officials of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian, while continuing the plantation drive in the district, visited Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shopian, and various private school to make students aware about the benefits of planting more and more plants.

Officials also distributed saplings in the schools, asking the students and staff to plant them in the school premises.

Chairman District Legal Services Authority Shopian, Ashok Kumar Shavana Principal District & Session Judge Shopian visited the schools on the occasion. Secretary District Legal Services Authority Shopian, Munsiff judge Lubna Suntan,  Shopian, Addition Mobile Magistrate Majid Farooq, Forest Range Officer Shopian, senior and junior advocates also participated in the drive.

They said that planting more and more trees will guarantee us green and clean India. While talking to the students Ashok Kumar Shavana said, “You are the people who will make this nation green again, free from pollution. As we face global warming and increasing levels of pollution, the responsibility is on your shoulders.”

Munsiff judge Lubna Sultan while quoting famous Sufi saint Sheikh ul Alam said that ” Ann poshi Teli yeli wann poshi ” which means ‘The survival of humans is only possible when there are forests’.
