Jammu: The Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir has become COVID free as no fresh cases have been reported for the second consecutive day.
As per the reports, there are no active cases in the district. “Kathua is only district in the Union Territory with zero active cases,” the data revealed.
“With recovery of one patient on Monday, the district become COVID free and no fresh reported for the second consecutive day,” the data revealed.
In further breakup, data revealed that the district has reported 9288 cases and 9137 recoveries while 151 patients scummed to infection so far.
Moreover, the Union Territory, two deaths and 145 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,450.
With two more deaths, the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,419 and 145 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 328,214.
Of the exact number of 328,214 cases, 204,699 are from Kashmir division and 123,515 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 145 new cases, 121 belong to Kashmir division while as 24 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 204,699 including 201,220 recoveries and 2,247 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,515 including 121,125 recoveries and 2,172 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,450 including 1,232 from Kashmir division and 218 from Jammu division.
With 154 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 322,345 which is 98.21 percent of the total cases.
