Jammu, Feb 24: Continuing with its endeavour to provide financial aid to the Special Police Officers (SPOs) at their time of need, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh Wednesday sanctioned over Rupees 745091 in favour of 35 SPOs to defray the expenses in connection with self-treatment or treatment of dependents.
Vide PHQ order number 750 of 2021, financial assistance ranging from rupees 10,000 to rupees 50,000 have been sanctioned in favour of 35 SPOs who are engaged at different Police establishments, a statement issued to the news agency reads.
The financial assistance/medical relief has been given to SPOs to defray the expenses in connection with self treatment or treatment of dependents. The amount has been sanctioned out of SPOs Contributory Fund/Police Pariwar Fund, it added.
It said that financial assistance of rupees 20,000 has also been sanctioned in favour of Constable Shahnawaz Ahmad whose residential house was damaged during a fire accident. The amount has been sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare Fund.
Financial assistance and Welfare relief are sanctioned in favour of J&K Police personnel/SPOs to meet the expenses of different natures including self-treatment, treatment of dependants, education of wards, self-marriage and marriage of wards, the statement said.
