Delhi court’s verdict on Batla House Encounter thoroughly exposes terrorist sympathisers in country: Prakash Javadekar

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has saidthat Delhi court’s verdict on Batla House Encounter today thoroughly exposesthe terrorist sympathisers and doubters lobby in the country. In a tweet, MrJavadekar said, now Sonia Gandhi, 

Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal who raised questions on theintegrity of our police forces must apologise to the nation.

Earlier,a Delhi court has awarded a death penalty to convictAriz Khan, who was allegedly associated with Indian Mujahideen, for the murderof inspector Mohan Chand Sharma in the 2008 Batla House encounter case. Callingthe matter as “rarest of rare case”, the court said there was”no manner of doubt” that Khan was responsible for the murder ofinspector Mohan Chand Sharma.

Khan, who had fled from thespot during the 2008 Batla House encounter in Jamia Nagar in south Delhi, wasarrested by the Delhi Police in 2018. The police had sought a death penalty forKhan, saying it was not just any killing but a murder of a law enforcementofficer who was a defender of justice.
