Defence Ministry approves 50 AFMS hospitals as dedicated and mixed COVID hospitals

Indian Army has clarified that the Defence Ministry has approved a total of 50 Armed Force Medical Services, AFMS hospitals including 42 Army, five Air Force and three Navy designated as Dedicated and Mixed COVID Hospitals.

Besides the entitled clientele of the AFMS, serving personnel, dependents, veterans, and their dependents, civilians may also be admitted subject to referral by the local health authority after ascertaining bed availability at these facilities.

Indian Army said, it has come to its notice that there is a full list of AFMS Hospitals being circulated in Social Media claiming that all these hospitals are open for admitting COVID positive civilian patients.
