Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has informed that the Cabinet decision to place an order for 83 Tejas Light Combat aircraft with HAL will create 50,000 job opportunities and support 500 auxiliary companies.
Speaking at the fifth Armed Forces Veterans Day in Bengaluru today, the minister said that HAL will be placing an order to manufacture 73 fighter LCAs and 10 training aircraft. Praising the bravery and courage displayed by our armed forces, the minister said that our soldiers guarding our borders are giving befitting reply to enemies.
The Defence Minister called upon the veterans to guide the youth who wish to join the defence forces and empower them in the positive direction. He informed them about various decisions taken by the Government for the benefit of the veterans.
