Death of MC Pulwam employee: Pending inquiry, DHSK suspends 4 MOs

PULWAMA: Director of Health Services Kashmir has ordered the suspension of four doctors over alleged medical negligence leading to the death of Mohammad Hussain Hafiz, an employee of MC Pulwama, who reportedly died due to cardiac arrest in the District Hospital Pulwama on January 31, 2022.

“Pending inquiry regarding the death of patient at District Hospital Pulwama, the following doctors are hereby put under suspension with immediate effect and are attached with Directorate of Health Services Kashmir; i) Dr. Hilal Ahmad, Medical Officer (MO) ii) Dr. Gulzar Ahmad, Medical Officer iii) Dr. Alfer Nafie, Medical Officer iv) Dr. Mohammad Ashraf, Medical Officer (NHM)”, reads an order.

The suspension of doctors has come a day after Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer-ul Haq-Choudhary ordered for the constitution of a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the matter. (GNS)
