DDC reviews progress of Jeevika project at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 30: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla convened a meeting with officers of various departments to review the latest progress of Jeevika project in the District Udhampur.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that the main objective of this project is to enhance the livelihood of farmers and stressed to double the income of farmers by 2022. While congratulating the team of Jeevika project, DDC said that this is selected for SKOCH merit award. He lauded the efforts of District Officers and general public who played pivotal role and extended support to the District Administration for the implementation of the project in the District.

DDC asked the officers to identify the locations having good feasibility and maximum outcome. PRIs were asked to sensitize the public in general and farmers in particular about the project in their respective Panchayat. He further directed the concerned department to expedite the progress of ongoing works so that the project should be completed in given timeline.

While taking the block wise review of the project, the DDC asked the officers to select the sites of project which will cater maximum number of farmers and enhance their sustainable income.
