DDC Rajouri Vikas calls for close monitoring of ongoing work of RDD to ensure quality, adherence to timeline

DDC reviews performance of RDD sector in Rajouri

RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 05: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today reviewed the performance of the RDD sector here in a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall of the DDC Office Complex.

Officers present in the meeting were ACD, Vijay Kumar; ExEn REW; AD Planning, Bansi Lal and Block Development Officers. The meeting reviewed achievements by the department under District Capex Budget, PMAY-G, Awas Plus, Soakage pits, CD Panchayat etc. It was informed that 3789 works were approved under District Capex Budget for the FY-2022-23 out of which the tenders for 2149 works have been allotted.

Similarly, against the target of constructing 30601 PMAY-G houses, the work on 19543 has been completed in all respects, while 374 houses have been completed under Awas Plus against the target of constructing 10850 houses. About the generation of person days, the meeting was informed that 1022469 mandays have been generated as on date. It was further informed that 163 works against 209 approved CD works have been allotted.

Regarding the Soakage pits, the concerned officers were asked to complete the targets at the earliest and take effective measures to treat grey and black water in the rural areas. Speaking at the meeting, the DDC stressed upon the officers to work in coordination for effective implementation of the schemes on the ground and to meet the expectations of the rural population.
