DDC Mussarat finalizes Scale of Finance plan-2023-24 for KCC Crops, allied activities

Ramban: District Development Commissioner, Mussarat Islam Tuesday chaired the meeting of the District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) to finalize the Scale of Finance for the year 2023-24 of the Agriculture, Horticulture Crops, Livestock, and other allied sector produces in the district.

Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal; Chief Agriculture Officer, Ashwani Kumar; DSHO, Dr. Vikas Gupta; CAHO, Dr. Kawal Singh; AD Fisheries, Fayaz Ahmed; DDM, NABARD, Aarushi Sharma; Lead Bank Manager, Abdul Rashid Sofi; Cluster head JK Bank, Parvez Iqbal and other officers from department and banks were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, the vital issues regarding the finalization of the Scale of Finance of different Agriculture and Horticulture Crops were finalized by the Committee for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders of the district.

The meeting held a threadbare discussion on the Existing and Proposed Scale of Finance (SOF) for various KCC Crops & Allied Activities. The DLTC finalized the Scale of Finance for Agriculture and Horticulture Crops including Cereals, Vegetables, Pulses, Rapeseed, Mustard, Potato, Fodder, Spices, Plantation of Sericulture, Floriculture, Goat, Sheep, Poultry, Fisheries etc.

On the occasion, the economic potential of different varieties of products was discussed in detail for boosting the income of unemployed youth and farmers.

Meanwhile, the DDC stressed upon the officers of line departments and bankers to ensure the utmost accuracy in the formulation of the scale of finance component-wise so that the farmers are facilitated properly. He laid emphasis on providing assistance to Apiculture, Mushroom, vegetable, fruits, dairy farming, and sheep breeding to enhance the additional farm income of the farmers.

Later, the DDC also released the Potential Linked Credit Plan for 2023-24 of district Ramban in presence of senior officers and bankers prepared by NABARD containing the total credit potential of the district for a particular year.

It is based on infrastructure availability and developmental plans of the district.
