Rajouri, Feb 13 (KNO): An unexpected situation emerged in the elections for District Development Council (DDC) Chairman and Vice Chairman as many members are yet to reach the voting hall in Rajouri district.
According to the news agency, elections were scheduled at 11:30 AM while only eight DDC members including four members of NC, one of PDP and three from Congress have reached the voting hall.
However, officials said that one member of NC is yet to report at the voting hall, thus putting NC leadership in dock. Besides, three BJP members, one from Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party and one independent leader have also not reported yet.
“There is uncertainty of holding elections now,” said official sources.
