DDC Budgam reviews functioning of Nehru Yuva Kendra


BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 24:- The District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganaie today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Budgam.

The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CPO, Rafiq Ahmad Dar, ACD, Nuzhat Quereshi, CEO, Fatima Taq, DIO, TajamulYousuf and other concerned officers.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC Budgam stated that NYK should come forward to create massive awareness regarding socio economic schemes running in the district.

The District NYK Coordinator, Ali Mohammad on the occasion appraised that NYK Budgam holds many awareness camps at District and Block level including Swatchta Hi Seva, Promotion of Art and Culture, Skill Development, water Conservation and Yoga Day etc.

It was given out that NYK had distributed Youth Sports Kits among 20 registered Youth Clubs in the District. It was also informed that 36 volunteers, 2 for each block have been selected for the period of two years for conduct of awareness programmes.

The DDC suggested that NYK should collaborate with other departments in order to achieve desired goals and objectives meant for the socio-economic boost of people of the district.
