BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 22: District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today chaired a day-long public outreach camp at Dobiwan village in Tangmarg here.
The camp was held to get the first-hand appraisal of public grievances, which marked the participation of various delegations, deputations and other stakeholders form Dobiwan and its adjoining areas.
SDM Gulmarg, Chief Agriculture Officer, Deputy CEO, DSWO, Deputy CMO, SDPO besides representatives of PRIs were present on the occasion.
During the camp, various issues and demands were highlighted by the people who sought personal intervention of the DDC for their timely disposal.
A delegation of Dobiwan demanded macadamization of Dobiwan-Lalpora road. They also demanded issuance of Gold cards under Ayushman Bharat Scheme among the beneficiaries. Other demands projected by the delegation included uninterrupted power supply during the schedule hours and adequate ration and water supply.
Another delegation of Pinjoora demanded upgradation of Middle School Pinjoora to High School, macadamization of link roads, potable water supply and raised other issues of public importance.
A delegation of Utkoo Bangil demanded establishment of Tehsil Social Welfare Office, settlement of pending pension cases etc.
Meanwhile, the DDC gave a patient hearing to the grievances and demands and assured that all the genuine issues shall be addressed in a time-bound manner.
The DDC on the occasion stressed upon the officers to provide every basic facility to the people. He said that government has lunched various schemes and programmes for the people and urged them to come forward and avail their benefits.
