DC Reasi reviews arrangements for Run for Peace


REASI, NOVEMBER 17: District Development Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib, today chaired a meeting to review arrangements being put in place for upcoming ‘Run for Peace’, an athletics-cycling event being organised by Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana.

The DC had detailed review of various arrangements for the run including traffic management, medicare and other requisite services.

It was informed that 2 km long Funathon, 4 km long Pinkathon, 15 km Mini Marathon and 20 km Cyclothon would be the part of Run for Peace. Besides, boys and girls in the age group of 7 to 11 years are eligible for Funathon while only girls aged 15 to 30 years are eligible for Pinkathon while the Mini Marathon is open for boys aged 15 to 30 years and boys of the same age group would be eligible for the Cyclothon.

The eligible can register for these events till November 21, 2019 at Army Camp Talwara by presenting relevant documentary proof of age and address. The final events will take place on November 24.
