DC discusses modalities for formulation of “Vision Document”


KATHUA, DECEMBER 28: District Development Commissioner, O P Bhagat today convened a meeting of District/Sectoral officers to discuss the modalities for formulation of “Vision Document” of the district.

A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting regarding formulation of Vision Document, in which stress will be laid on completing infrastructure projects of public importance including small stadia, mandis, maternity hospitals, critical health infrastructure, bus stands etc.

Vision on raising incomes must also be accommodated in the document through specific interventions viz. high density fruit plantation, milk villages, chilling plants, poultry farms, jobs in industries and service sector.

DDC directed the concerned officers to submit the vision document pertaining to their respective sectors at the earliest. He further asked the officers to bring seriousness, accountability and transparency in working of their offices so that all the languishing projects would be completed within the stipulated timeline. He exhorted upon the officers for ensuring close co-ordination and cooperation with BDCs, Sarpanchs and Panchs.

DDC also directed the concerned officers to call suggestions for designing district logo and vision statement, depicting special features of the district.

DDC further directed the Executive Engineer, PHE to constitute Village level water and sanitation committees (VLWSC) so that unplugged areas in the villages can be identified seeking help from PRIs and plan can be formulated to provide drinking water to these areas.

SE Hydraulic Circle, Suresh Sabharwal, CPO, Uttam Singh, Engineers of PHE, Flood Control, PWD, CHO, CAO besides other concerned officers were also present in the meeting.
