CRPF officer injured in road accident in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 14: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer was critically injured in a road accident at Qazigund in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.

Official sources on Thursday said that a CRPF gypsy collided with a truck at Qazigund late on Wednesday evening. “A CRPF officer, identified as inspector Joshi, was critically injured in the accident,” they said.

They said the wounded was rushed to a local hospital from where he was referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura. “The condition of the patient, who has received injuries to his head, is stated to be critical,” they added.

They said police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.
