CRPF officer injured in accidental fire in Budgam Village

Srinagar, Feb 12: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Officer was injured during night in an accidental fire in Nagam village of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A police officer told news agency that Rajesh Kumar of C-Coy 117 CRPF battalion was critically injured on Thursday- Friday night, when his service rifle went off accidentally at Nagum village of Chadoora in Budgam district.

He said the CRPF officer was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where he was referred to 92 Base Army Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for a bullet injury in the right leg.
