COVID: No fresh cases in 6 districts of J&K for second consecutive day

 “Six districts including 1 more Kashmir region and 5 from Kashmir have not reported any fresh cases for the second consecutive day,’ an official told The Dispatch.  He added that the six districts include 6 Shopian, Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi.

Jammu: The six districts of Jammu and Kashmir has not reported any fresh cases for the second day in a row while 166 fresh infections from the other districts pushed the cumulative tally to 3,19,681 and the death toll swelled to 4,408 with one fresh fatality in last 24 hours.

“Six districts including 1 more Kashmir region and 5 from Kashmir have not reported any fresh cases for the second consecutive day,’ an official told The Dispatch.  He added that the six districts include 6 Shopian, Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi.

Among 116 fresh cases, 148 cases were reported in Kashmir and 18 in Jammu taking the overall infection tally to 3,25,419 while the death toll remains unchanged at 4,408.

A total of 3,19,681 have already recovered from the disease including the 99 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Presently, there are a total of 1,330 active virus cases in J&K- 1,012 in Kashmir and 318 in Jammu.
