Jammu: With 4959 cases, the Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed slight dip in infection while seven death toll to 4642.
With seven more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,642 and 4,959 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday pushed the tally of positive cases to 419,731.
Of the exact number of 419,731 cases, 267,431 are from Kashmir division and 152,300 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 4,959 new cases, 3,565 belong to Kashmir division while as 1,394 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 267,431 including 229,988 recoveries and 2,377 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 152,300 including 138,444 recoveries and 2,265 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 46,657 including 35,066 from Kashmir division and 11,591 from Jammu division.
With 6,264 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 368,432 which is 87.78 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 841 from Srinagar, 784 from Baramulla, 440 from Budgam, 135 from Pulwama, 529 from Kupwara, 299 from Anantnag, 130 from Bandipora, 87 from Ganderbal, 295 from Kulgam and 25 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 1,394 from Jammu division include 703 from Jammu district, 31 from Udhampur, 68 from Rajouri, 162 from Doda, 23 from Kathua, 110 from Samba, 165 from Kishtwar, 25 from Poonch, 99 from Ramban and 08 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 95,989 positive cases including 896 deaths and 81,562 recoveries are from Srinagar, 35,011 including 298 deaths and 28,326 recoveries are from Baramulla, 32,534 including 28,288 recoveries and 226 deaths are from Budgam, 17,659 including 16,350 recoveries and 198 deaths are from Pulwama, 18,581 including 171 deaths and 16,758 recoveries are from Kupwara, 20,863 including 17,840 recoveries and 216 deaths are from Anantnag, 12,878 cases including 11,156 and 111 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,095 including 11,348 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 14,798 including 12,348 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,023 including 5,824 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 69,598 including 61,360 recoveries and 1,194 deaths are from Jammu district, 13,586 including 12,882 recoveries and 143 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,388 including 11,693 recoveries and 245 deaths are from Rajouri, 9,347 including 8,094 recoveries and 140 deaths are from Doda, 10,715 including 10,177 recoveries and 158 deaths are from Kathua, 8,500 including 7,864 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 5,382 including 5,036 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,368 including 6,939 recoveries and 105 deaths are from Poonch, 7,064 including 6,416 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,352 including 7,983 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,683,819 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 11,574 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 46,657 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,191,888 persons have completed the surveillance period and 427,058 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 21,121,558 samples are available. Out of 21,121,558 the number of samples tested negative stands at 20,701,827 while as 419,731 have tested positive, among them 46,657 persons are active, 368,432 persons have recovered and 4,642 persons have died
