Jammu: With recording over 800 new cases for the second consecutive day, the tally of Jammu and Kashmir reached to 135662 while with one fresh fatality the death toll reached to 2019.
The officials informed The Dispatch, the Jammu and Kashmir recorded 835 cases slighter higher than yesterday. “Among fresh cases 280 reported from Jammu region while from 555 from Kashmir region,” they said.
They added that one fresh fatality pushed the death toll to 2019.
They informed that the fresh death reported from Singpora area of Baramulla as 80-year-old patient died due to the virus. The fresh fatality pushed the toll 745 in Jammu region while 1274 in Kashmir region.
As per district wise details, Srinagar reported 349 cases, Baramulla 74, Budgam 24, Pulwama 8, Kupwara 31, Anantnag 22, Bandipora 18, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 18, Shopian 4, Jammu 148, Udhampur 35, Rajouri 9, Doda 4, Kathua 20, Samba 8, Kishtwar 4, Poonch 3, Ramban 2and Reasi 47.
Moreover, 246 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 22 from Jammu Division and 224 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 135662 positive cases, 5623 are Active Positive, 128020 have recovered and 2019have died; 745 in Jammu division and 1274 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 6373912test results available, 6238250 samples have been tested as negative till 08thApril, 2021.
Till date 1575505 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 59857 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 5623 in isolation and 124174in home surveillance. Besides, 1383832 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 30758 positive cases (including 349 cases reported today) with 2027 Active Positive, 28254recovered (including 139 cases recovered today), 477 deaths; Baramulla has 9436 positive cases (including 74 cases reported today)with 701Active Positive, 8553recovered (including 37 cases recovered today), 182 deaths; Budgam reported 8517 positive cases (including 24 cases reported today)with 355 active positive cases, 8040 recovered (including 30cases recovered today), 122 deaths; Pulwama has 6058 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today)with 129 Active Positive, 5837 recovered and 92 deaths; Kupwara has 5937 positive cases (including 31 cases reported today), 144 Active Positive, 5696recoveries, 97 deaths; Anantnag district has 5305 positive cases (including 22 cases reported today)with 136 Active Positive, 5073 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 96 deaths; Bandipora has 4859 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today), with 109 Active Positive and 4687 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today), 63 deaths; Ganderbal has 4780 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today)with 70 Active Positive, 4661 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today) and 49 deaths; Kulgam has 2988 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today)with 213 Active Positive, 2719 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 56 deaths while as Shopian has 2691 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today),51 active positive cases, 2600 recoveries and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 26678 positive cases (including 148 cases reported today) with 1015 active positive cases, 25277 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today), 386 deaths; Udhampur has 4543 positive cases (including 35 cases reported today), 197 active positive cases, 4288 recoveries and 58 deaths; Rajouri has 3937 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today)with 50 active positive, 3831 recoveries and 56 deaths; Doda has 3482 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with26 Active positive, 3392 recovered(including 01 cases recovered today) and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3464 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today), 115 active positive cases, 3296 recovered(including 14 cases recovered today) and 53 deaths; Kishtwar has 2770 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with 14 Active Positive, 2734 recoveries and 22 deaths; Samba has 2908 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today)with 59 active positive cases, 2808 recoveries and 41 deaths; Poonch has 2570 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 33 active positive, 2511 recoveries and 26 deaths; Ramban has 2171 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with29 active positive cases, 2119 recoveries and 23 deaths while Reasi has 1810 positive (including 47 cases reported today)with 150 active positive cases, 1644 recoveries and 16 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 135662 positive cases in J&K, 14363 have been reported as travelers while 121299 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1091 COVID dedicated beds, 962 Isolation beds with 875 vacant beds and 129 ICU beds where 94 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1570 COVID dedicated beds, 1484 Isolation beds where 1302 beds are vacant and 86 ICU beds where 81are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2661 COVID dedicated beds, 2446 Isolation beds with 2177 beds vacant and 215 ICU beds with 175vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
