COVID-19 Recovery Rate in country improves to 97.19 pct

More than 36 crore 89 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The Union Health Ministry said, more than 40 lakh 23 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

The COVID-19 Recovery Rate in the country has improved to 97.19 per cent. Over 44 thousand patients recovered from the infection during the last 24 hours. Till now, more than 2 crore 98 lakh people have recovered from the Covid-19. India reported 43 thousand 393 new cases in last 24 hours. The active caseload currently stand at 4 lakh 58 thousand 727. Active cases constitute 1.49 per cent of total cases.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 per cent and it is currently at 2.36 per cent. Daily positivity rate at 2.42 per cent and it is less than 3 per cent for 18 consecutive days. 911 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll due to the pandemic has reached 4 lakh 5 thousand 939.

Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and till now, more than 42 crore 70 lakh tests have been conducted. Over 17 lakh 90 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
