COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 97.32 per cent in country

The country’s COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 97.32 per cent as a total of 11 thousand 395 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has gone up to one crore 6 lakh and 625.

The Health Ministry said, the actual caseload currently comprises only 1.25 per cent of the total positive cases. Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is  one lakh 36 thousand 571. The Ministry also informed that 79 lakh 67 thousand and 647 beneficiaries have been administered COVID-19 vaccine so far.

During the past 24 hours, 12 thousand 143 new cases were reported taking the total number of positive cases in the country to one crore 8 lakh 92 thousand 746. The Ministry said, currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.43 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally. During the last 24 hours, 103 deaths were reported taking the toll to one lakh 55 thousand 550.

According to Indian Council of Medical Research, more than 7 lakh 43 thousand tests were conducted in the last 24 hours and the total number of samples tested so far has reached 20 crore 55 lakh
