COVID-19 decline: 9 of 10 districts in Jammu reports below 2000 positive cases in last one month

Four districts have reported below 800 cases

SRINAGAR,  Jun 22: Jammu division which has witnessed more deaths as compared to Kashmir division in the second wave of Covid-19 has witnessed a significant dip in the positive cases in the last one month.

As per the data available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), except Jammu district, all other nine districts have reported below 2000 cases in last one month.

Among nine districts in Jammu division five have reported below 2000 cases while as four districts have reported cases below 800 in the last month, the data reveals.

The five districts that have registered below 2000 cases include Udhampur, Rajouri, Doda, Poonch and Reasi.

The districts that have reported below 800 cases include Kuthua, Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi.

As per data, Jammu district has reported 5,003 cases in last month while as Udhampur has reported 1,105 cases, Rajouri 1,668 cases, Doda 1,570, Kuthua 968 cases, Samba 720 cases, Kishtwar 605 cases, Poonch 1,303 cases, Ramban 1,305 and Reasi 721 cases.

The entire Jammu division has reported 14,976 cases in the last month.

Government has already ended weekend curfew in five districts of Jammu and Kashmir which includes Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Reasi and Udhampur—(KNO)
