SRINAGAR: After witnessing a dip in October month, the Covid-19 cases showed a steep rise in the month of November as the month reported 40 per cent more cases compared to October.
As per the data available, 4,698 cases, including 3,973 from Kashmir and 725 from Jammu were reported in the month of November in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, 44 deaths which include 35 from Kashmir and 09 deaths from Jammu divisions were reported in November, the figures reveal.
Pertinently, 2,819 cases and ten deaths were reported in the month of October in UT. So, 1,879 more cases were reported in the month of November in J&K as compared to October which means around 40 percent more cases were reported in the month of November compared to October.
Figures reveal that similarly, ten deaths were reported in J&K in the month of October while 44 deaths were reported in the month of November which signifies November reported more than four times more deaths as compared to October month.
“In the month of November, of 4,698 cases and 44 deaths, in J&K, Kashmir reported 3,973 cases and 35 deaths which mean 85 percent cases and 80 per cent deaths reported in the month of November were from Kashmir division alone,” figures suggest—(KNO)
