Country’s total COVID-19 case reaches 90, 95, 807

With 45,209 new cases, country’s total COVID-19 case went up to 90, 95, 807.

Health Ministry said, with 501 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has reached 1,33,227. 

In the last 24 hours, 43,493 people were discharged.

With this the total discharged cases stand at 85,21,617.

The actual caseload currently comprises only 4.85 per cent of the total positive cases.

Presently, total active cases stand at 4,40,962.

ICMR said, a total of 13,17,33,134 have been samples tested for COVID19, in the country till Saturday.

Of these, 10,75,326 samples were tested on Saturday.

26 States and UTs have less than 20 thousand active cases, as on date.

Seven states and UTs have active cases between 20 to 50 thousand whereas Maharashtra and Kerala are reporting more than 50 thousand caseload.

77.68 percent of the new recovered cases is contributed by ten states and UTs. 

Delhi saw 6,963 persons recover from COVID.

Kerala reported 6719 and Maharashtra reported 4,088 new recoveries. 

22.16 percent of new fatalities reported are from Delhi which reported 111 deaths.

Maharashtra saw a fatality count of 62 while West Bengal reported another 53.
